What the session covers
- How fuel and fish price swings reach your budget, worked through with your own numbers on the fuel budget tracker and the cost calculator.
- Reading the public data: the state's village fuel price survey, the dock prices for boat diesel, and the federal fishery disaster record.
- What organizations do about price swings, in general terms: budgets and reserves, supplier terms, insurance, and what event contracts are and are not. We explain how they work. We do not tell you what to buy.
Who it is for
Boards and staff of co-ops, tribes, village corporations, ports and other organizations that buy fuel or sell fish and carry the swings in their budget. Bring a few numbers: gallons you buy, what you paid, what you sell and when.
Format and fee
Ninety minutes, at your place or on video. The fee is $750, flat, agreed before we start. Travel to your community is quoted separately. We look at your numbers ahead of time so the time goes to your questions.
